Set in a prime location on the marina of Santa Eualria, Bollywood offers the perfect setting to enjoy a meal.  Specialising in Indian cuisine their menu provides a range of classic dishes that are cooked in their own unique style.

Having provided the town with excellent cuisine for over five years on the renowned restaurant street Bollywood re-opened last year at the stunning location of the marina.  What better way to spend an evening than enjoying excellent food and a fantastic view?  Don’t be fooled however as this does not come at a prime cost, this is a reasonably priced restaurant that serves high class food.  Dine on the decked terrace or inside on those chilly evenings where the décor provides an authentic vision of India.

On our most recent visit, we chose a table on the terrace to enjoy the view of the beautiful boats and watch people strolling by. The menu provided an elite selection of classic Indian dishes and is not complicated by excessive choices. The traditional papadoms were a great start to the meal as they were light and crispy and were accompanied by dips with an alternative twist.  Notably, a refreshing coriander dip that we have never come across before.  We both chose chicken dishes, a Tikka Masala and a Madras, with pilau rice and a peshwari naan.  The curries were perfectly flavoured, the meat succulent and the sauces rich and decadent. The naan provided a contemporary accompaniment with the bread encrusted with toasted coconut and sultanas.  We were also pleased to see that one of our favourite wines was available to enjoy with the meal – Pierola Crianza is a recommendation from the Ibizagastro team.  To finish the meal we shared the homemade pistachio ice cream that was a perfect combination of nutty pistachios and milky ice cream covered with a thin layer of white chocolate.

Anar and Chris are friendly and professional hosts who will make you want to return again and again to this stylish restaurant. So much care and attention is catered for from the presentation of the restaurant through to the great lengths taken to internationally source the spices used.

With Bollywood’s slogan being “Don’t Worry, Eat Curry” there is nothing to worry about when dining in this restaurant apart from what outstanding dishes you will choose from the menu.
