Babylon Beach Santa Eularia
Babylon Beach opened its doors to customers in 2012, in Santa Eularia, on the idyllic coastal location that used to house Mango’s Beach bar. Adjacent to the Grupotel, Babylon beach offers a fantastic location for diners looking for great food, and thirst quenching drinks all with one of the best views around.
Other than the view, one of the first things to notice when visiting Babylon Beach is the stylish yet relaxed decor that’s perfectly fitting of an outdoor Ibizencan beach venue. It’s also not just a place to dine day or night, there are an array of relaxing sun beds that make it a sure fire winner if you are looking to spend a day in the sunshine with great food. Often the experience is enhanced further by the chilled out sounds of their resident DJ. Plus if you have the children in tow, they have a recently constructed kid’s play area, that’s also supervised, perfect to keep the little people amused while you sip on one of their freshly made cocktails.
One thing we really liked about the dining experience here was the perfectly laid tables – always a good sign when looking for a venue that puts effort into everything they do. The choice of food was displayed on large blackboards in both Spanish and English and alongside this a blackboard of equal size displaying the impressive list of cocktails. The food itself was certainly worth the visit, our group chose a mixture of Mussels Mariniere, Caribbean Chicken – a succulent coconut chicken curry that delighted us that much we almost fought over the last mouthfuls – and the Babylon Burger, which is sure to be a hit this summer. Each dish was fresh and perfectly presented and went down exceptionally well with the Libalis Rose wine that was recommended to us. This was all after our now customary plate of bread and olives, another dish that was again only beaten in taste by its great looks.
The friendly welcome and service on offer at Babylon Beach is also something of note, not a moment went past with us wanting anything and whilst attentive we were also made to feel relaxed, with nothing too much trouble. An altogether stress free few hours – just what anyone could want when in Ibiza!
All in all Babylon Beach, whilst still relatively new, is succeeding to provide a stylish venue for anyone looking to dine right on the water’s edge in Santa Eularia. We’ll certainly be back and it won’t be just the once!
